MAIN
CHARACTERS
Sister Angela: Woman #1,
mid 70’s, stern and stiff Carmelite nun, capable of being extremely
drunk at her first encounter with liquor.
Alan Meier: Man, mid 50’s,
an overly dramatic tour guide who really wanted to become a movie
star. One who is very good at caring for his tour passengers (as
well as people he meets in general).
Chalisa Morgan: Woman #2,
mid 20’s a prostitute who is (or was) very content with what she did
in life. In spite of her rough exterior she’s a marshmallow on the
inside. Tight low cut top (looks like she can fall out of it), “less
than a mini-skirt” skirt…she’s very much a “sista” from the hood.
Freddie Danton: Man, mid
50’s, a swisher gay bathhouse performer, a drama queen, yet
emotionally a real softie. Even though he makes pithy comments
about people, he has the ability to turn on a dime to reveal his
true, tender self. He wears a bold, Hawaiian type of flowery
shirt…a line refers to it looking like “Jolly Green giant throw up”…
Beulah Mae Rockwell: Woman
#2, mid 50’s, has had to become tough in life to survive, she’s a
hairdresser, loves to gossip.
Trixie Horowitz: Woman #1,
mid 70’s, the epitome of a Jewish old lady, says what she means,
means what she says, you know she will always meddle and give her
pointed opinion yet you get a sense that you want her as your
grandmother.
Joanne Martinelli: Woman
#1, mid 50’s, typical Italian (uses Italian slang), uses body
language and hands to talk, a real bitch, she only makes it in life
due to her caustic attitude, she’s demanding and self-centered, not
only should the world revolve around her but the universe as well.
Guido Martinelli: Man, mid
50’s, a likeable guy, typical Italian (uses Italian slang), uses
body language and hands to talk, has had to learn to give it right
back to Joanne as he’s often the object of her remarks. When he
talks to others you get the sense that he’s really a nice guy, rough
around his Italian edges but a nice guy nonetheless.
Mavis Jackson: Woman #2, 87
year old sweetheart of a woman, spends most of her time volunteering
at her Baptist church. Obviously a believer in education (son is a
doctor, daughter is an educator), you can tell she’s a church goer,
she exudes calmness.
